Here is my first attempt to translate one of my Haiku like texts into Quenya. It goes with a picture taken recently on a beach of some seaweed and a shell that looked like a necklace. Aiya! So here's an original Quenya poem that nobody commented on in Elfling. Hope you get something out of it. EDIT: reformatted a bit, sorry. -- admin 8 comments | read more | 583 reads

Quenya reflexive pronounsSubmitted by pwynne on Fri, 2005-07-29 12:23.
In Atwe's chart of Quenya reflexive pronouns (taken from my article in VT 47), it should be noted that the 2nd pl. form imde and 3rd pl. form imte are each marked with an asterisk (*) in the original text, indicating that they are "hypothetical" earlier forms. Atwe has omitted the asterisks and italicized these words instead, apparently as an alternate means of showing their hypothetical status â but why not simply stick with what Tolkien wrote, especially since the prefixed asterisk is a standard linguistic sign for hypothetical/etymological forms? â Patrick H.
