Orni ar lóti

Nu linquë lossë
Orni cavir nucumnë

Under the wet snow
The trees bow humbled
To Lord Winter

I anírimar
Imb'illi sámo lóti
Álar mi muile

The most beautiful ones
Among the mind's flowers
Thrive in secrecy

I did this translation long years ago, of a poem of Endre Ady that is one of my all-time favorites. I have dusted it off a little bit now and reworked it slightly, there are still some neologisms in there, but as of now, they are still necessary. Enjoy and comment, if you think so.

Lasselanta vartaina

Since "Enwine nission lairë" does not seem to end ...

Ai, lasselanta!
Aldar *vartar esselya -

Oh, "Leaf-fall"!
The trees betray your name -
Everlastingly leaved

Yeats: Death

A short poem, but I like it:

DEATH

NOR dread nor hope attend
A dying animal;
A man awaits his end
Dreading and hoping all;
Many times he died,
Many times rose again.
A great man in his pride
Confronting murderous men
Casts derision upon
Supersession of breath;
He knows death to the bone --
Man has created death.

This translation is dedicated to my very own Rainbow, my personal Bifröst to the realm of Glađsheim, or Aglardh, where we will abide together until the end of all times.

Intyale

As a little distraction from our "copying - pasting business", I started a translation of John Keats' poem "Fancy", to be continued one of these days:

Nai ranyuva intyale illume;
Alasse lemya mardes ullume.
Nu appa liss'alasse maxata,
Ve limbar terhatir íre rosse lanta;
Nai ranyuva rámavoit'intyale
Sanwenen voro pantaina pella se:
I sámo mand'ando, álye ta palya,
Etyuruvas, fanyannar amawiluvas.
A liss'intyale! Álye se sene;
I lairev'alassi hestar *yuhtiénen,
síve fíra i *alastie tuileo
tambe ná umbar locteryo;
I yáviéva yávi *carnipéiti,
*Carnitala ter híse ar miste,
*penyar lúce tyaviénen: San ma care?

Taking a break from entering entries onto EldarinWiki: this is a lyric from Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd:
