A purposeful question

Induinen is a weird looking noun, isn't it? Does it contain the EQ partitive ending -inen in your opinion? (If so, it would rather qualify to be an adverb "on purpose", wouldn't it?)

A plural would make it even more unusual...

In fact aside from some EQ day-names like Fuinen, and the cardinal kainen and its derivatives I can't see any other noun(like) word ending in -inen.

And the fact that Tolkien pairs it with the inchoative verb indu- in the essay makes me think it's somehow related to the verb. Perhaps at that point, he had a fleeting idea of having a verbal noun suffix -inen for inceptives.
